Welcome to this week's You Are Destined For Greatness. Talking about chapter seven in my book, The One Horse Race, and that is make a promise, keep it. Make a promise, keep it, make a promise, keep it, make a promise, keep it.
Every time that we make a promise and keep it, we are internalizing and solidifying for our brain. This is one of the best and fastest ways to solidify a belief in our value and our worthiness and our deservedness, is to make promises and keeping them.
And there's two big ways that we can do that, and that's with our biggest resources, with time and money. One of them has to do with a calendar and scheduling our life on purpose in advance and then following through. And the same thing happens with money, scheduling every 30 days with money, and then on purpose in advance, and then following through. Okay.
This sounds like a lot of work, and it sounds like it's really restrictive, and it sounds like it's like, it’s like, “Oh my gosh,” and it’s why nobody does it.
Um, there’s so many reasons not to do it. But I’m here to tell ya, it’s not that hard. It is not that hard.
And we have made it easy. We have all the resources. We have the, we have already been through all the things that could go wrong. We’ve got solutions for them so you can avoid them before you even get there. We have the tools to make it easy so that you can do it.
So I encourage you to, first of all, commit to doing those two things. And if you're already doing them, increase your, how you're doing them. Okay?
Because there's so many things that are a positive result, and so that's why. Here's what you're going to find if you were, if you're commit to do this and actually follow through.
First of all, you're going to be in the top 3%. You're going to be in the elite. You're going to be high performer, okay?
Second of all, you're going to, if you ever have overwhelm, it's going to be a thing of the past. Do you hear me? No more overwhelm. It does not exist when you plan your time in advance and you follow through with it. It's just, it's not there.
You think you didn't get all the stuff that you wanted to done that day or this week or that month and why couldn't you this and there's never enough time and all? Gone. All that's gone. That's a big benefit. Plus, you're more productive, you get more stuff done.
You have more money if you're doing it with your, you know, it's nice to have some money around if you're living on a budget. You know what I'm saying? And all the things that come with that, if you're doing it with somebody else, you get to live with unity because you agree on what you want to spend your money on in advance.
All those benefits, but guess what? According to me, the biggest reward of all of those doing those two things, of making those promises and keeping them, is the fact that every time that you do that, every calendar entry that you get to and you follow through, you've made a promise and you've kept it. And your brain takes note and it records it and it reinforces the idea that you are dependable, that you are, that you can count on you, that you can trust yourself, that when you say something that happens that's what kind of a person you are. And that translates this value to your brain. And if you ask me that's the biggest result of making promises and keeping them out of so many okay so more on the details shanejacob.com. Just do me one thing to begin with here today commit. Commit to improve how you go about those two things if you're already doing it. And if you're not, commit to doing it.
Because I want to see you in the top 3%, but even more importantly, I want to see you know and solidify and really internalize the idea that you're 100% as you are. And by the way, it doesn't matter if you do those things or not. You're already there. You just got to convince your brain and really believe it yourself. Okay?
Because my friends, You Are Destined For Greatness.
